POSITION OVERVIEW

Salesforce Platform Architects enable our clients to amplify their experience with the Salesforce platform by leading client assessments of current state platform architecture health, evaluate new Salesforce products and solutions, development of recommendations, develop future-state architecture, and roadmaps to achieve future-state design.

This role works hand-in-hand with our clients’ technical teams to design a path to an optimized state that drives true value to the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide design, governance, and innovation leadership for Salesforce solutions across the enterprise
  • Help set the high-level product vision and technology roadmap for the Enterprise
  • Provide guidance on best practices, technical architecture, cross-cloud solutions, and Salesforce platform education
  • Articulate Salesforce platform capabilities (may include POCs and client demos)
  • Lead key discussions and considerations around change programs from a technical perspective
  • Conduct architecture and technical workshops as needed
  • Analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce’s latest offerings and explore beta/pilot functionality if relevant
  • Provide thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote best of breed culture in Technical Services
  • Provide consultative services to all levels of business and technical people at leading enterprise customers to enable them to make confident decisions for their company
  • Collaborate with a small, focused team of Magnet360 SMEs to map the value of future-state technical recommendations to business and user value to help drive adoption

ACTIVITIES AND SKILLS TO ACHIEVE THE ABOVE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Flexibility to travel to client locations- expected to be above 50% depending on client needs. Work from home but also travel to 1-2 client locations for onsite work too.
  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience
  • Sales, Service, Community Cloud and Platform expertise required
  • Marketing and IoT Cloud experience a plus
  • Professional services company experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus, Messaging, Salesforce API and other Integration technologies
  • Preferred Salesforce certifications: Certified Application and Certified Systems Architect
  • Develops reference architecture, architectural patterns and blueprints to enable the capabilities
  • Defines application components, platforms, interfaces, development tools, and testing approaches
  • Consults on integration and conversion activities. Recommends redesign or redevelopment. Select technologies to provide long-term compatibility and flexibility
  • Leads evaluation of platform components to determine conformance with technical standards and appropriate fit with business needs
  • Conducts facilitated working sessions with technical executives and experts
  • Reviews current client Salesforce organizations and additional systems and tools that support Salesforce processes and data sources
  • Understands and has experience working in Agile/scrum methodology
  • Strong understanding of on-premise and cloud architectural design patterns
  • Conduct business and technical correspondence that is professional, thoughtful, effective, and concise
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and learn new things quickly
  • Appetite for knowledge in the Salesforce space and other relevant technologies
