  • Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable direct reports and project team members (See EOS Traction book for more detail on LMA)
  • Take strides to encourage employee retention
  • Mentor budding Salesforce Technical Leads; consider succession plan, mentoring another team member who lead technical aspects of a project
  • Ability to break agile stories into realistically achievable tasks and delegate work to the development team, as appropriate to their respective skills
  • Ability to write clear, concise AC and task-level details for offshore developers
  • Follow-up on development team tasks to ensure everyone is on track to deliver their committed tasks
  • Ability to drive requirements gathering sessions with the client’s technical team
  • Ability to discuss functional requirements with the internal and client teams
  • Evaluate multiple feasible options for a solution and present to the client, guiding them toward the most optimal solution
  • Work with the functional team members to build schemas that are appropriate to the short- and long-term needs of the client
  • Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation that covers functional use cases and the technical implementation to support the use cases
  • Proficiency in the following technical artifacts (for current and future states): Data Model / ERD, System Landscape, Integration Orchestration Design / Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams, etc
  • Define unit testing standards and leverage existing Salesforce Apex unit testing standards
  • Ability to write unit tests in Apex
  • Ability to evaluate unit tests for functional relevancy and completeness
  • Incorporate code reviews into the SDLC plan as needed on projects
  • Execute regular code reviews and mentor development team on unit test best practices
  • Leverage and provide best practice guidelines in the areas of deployment environments and development team processes • Ability to articulate and diagram best practices to be followed by project team (internal and client teams)


  • Technical design competency (data model, sequence diagrams, system landscape diagrams)
  • Salesforce development foundations (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, SOQL, AMPscript)
  • SOAP/RESTful APIs, SSO, Data Integration, Data Migration
  • Agile Scrum Methodology


  • Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer
  • Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer
