Congratulations to Magnet360’s Rockstar of the Quarter, Brian Weers! Get to know more about this Rockin technical architect:

How long have you worked for Magnet360?

Brian: 3 years 7 months.

Magnet 360: What’s the most rewarding part of being a technical architect at Magnet360?

Brian: The most rewarding thing for me is the opportunity to constantly learn and evolve. I enjoy learning new technologies and doing things I hadn’t thought of before. I love it when something that looks like a huge request can be built to exceed expectations with a much lower effort, all because we came up with a great plan on how to solve the problem in the best way.

Magnet 360: You had the chance to travel to San Francisco for Dreamforce last November, what was your favorite part about that week?

Brian: My favorite part of Dreamforce is like my favorite part of being a technical architect. I love learning, I love the new perspectives, the new technologies. Learning and building new things I couldn’t before keeps me from feeling too old. At the end of it all, I’m still a kid playing with legos—the adventure is in what you can imagine next, what that you hadn’t imagined before.

Magnet 360: At what point did you first realize your passion for technology?

Brian: I’ve always had a love for technology, but I didn’t discover or utilize my aptitude for coding and design until 2010. I felt like I could figure things out, and in that year, I had a chance to try with some Visual Basic programming in Excel. From there it was on to Salesforce as an admin, then shortly later developer, then advanced developer and now technical architect.

Magnet 360: If you could take the whole company out to one type of music event, what/who would it be?

Brian: I love classical music. I am a classically trained pianist with my Masters in Music, so if could go to one type of music event, it would be the Symphony with a piano Concerto. Top choices would be Prokofiev piano Concerto number 1, Rachmaninoff’s 3rd Concerto, or Gershwin with Rhapsody in Blue (which is not technically a concerto but fits the genre) and An American in Paris.

Thank you Brian! Think you’ve got what it takes to be Magnet 360’s next Rockstar of the Quarter? Check out our current openings.
